Definition
A sphere is a perfectly round geometrical object in three-dimensional space, like a ball. Think of it as a circle that's been inflated in all directions. Every point on the surface of a sphere is equidistant from its center. A basketball or a globe are good examples. Unlike a cube, a sphere has no edges or corners. It represents perfect symmetry and balance. The universe itself, in many models, is considered to have a spherical shape.
