Definition
A tarsier is a small, nocturnal primate found in Southeast Asia. They're famous for their enormous eyes, which are proportionally the largest of any mammal! These eyes are so big, they can't even move them in their sockets. Instead, they rotate their heads 180 degrees. They are insectivores, meaning they primarily eat insects. Tarsiers are skilled leapers and hunters. They represent a unique and ancient lineage of primates.
