Tick-tack-toe is yet another variation of the name for the classic grid-based game. This spelling includes hyphens, but the game remains the same: two players, a 3x3 grid, and the goal of getting three in a row. While seemingly simple, tick-tack-toe can teach basic strategy and pattern recognition. The hyphenated version is simply a stylistic choice. It's similar to how some people might hyphenate "e-mail."
