Definition
A tingle is a slight prickling or stinging sensation, often pleasant or at least not painful. It's a mild sensation, like tiny bubbles popping on your skin. It can be caused by a variety of things, such as excitement, cold temperatures, or mild nerve stimulation. Think of the feeling of anticipation before a big event, or the sensation after applying a minty lip balm. Itβs a gentle, often fleeting, experience. Contrast with pain or burning.
