Tolectin is a brand name for tolmetin sodium, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It's used to treat pain and inflammation caused by conditions like arthritis. It works by reducing the production of substances that cause inflammation. Tolectin was a common prescription medication. It provides relief from joint pain, swelling, and stiffness. As with all NSAIDs, it has potential side effects. It is no longer as commonly prescribed as it once was.
