Definition
Tuberculoid refers to something resembling or related to tuberculosis (TB), especially in its skin manifestations 👨⚕️. It usually describes a form of leprosy, also known as Hansen's disease, where the symptoms are milder compared to other forms. This form involves fewer bacteria and more localized skin lesions. Tuberculoid leprosy is less infectious than lepromatous leprosy. It indicates an immune response that contains the infection.
