Vena lumbalis, or lumbar vein, drains blood from the lumbar region of the lower back. Think of it as the lower back's plumbing system! ð° These veins run along the lumbar vertebrae. On the right, they empty into the inferior vena cava. On the left, they usually join the ascending lumbar or left renal vein. They make sure blood returns to the heart from the lower back. This keeps everything working properly! ðŠ
