A viscacha is a South American rodent resembling a rabbit, but it's more closely related to chinchillas. There are mountain viscachas and plains viscachas. Think of them as rabbit-like creatures that aren't actually rabbits ๐ != ๐ซ๐. Mountain viscachas live in rocky areas of the Andes. Plains viscachas inhabit grasslands. They are social animals, living in colonies. Their soft fur helps them survive in harsh conditions.
