A webfoot is a foot having the toes connected by a membrane of skin. Think of ducks ๐ฆ and frogs ๐ธ; itโs that stretched skin between their toes that helps them paddle through the water. Webbed feet provide increased surface area, making animals more efficient swimmers. It's like having built-in flippers! Not all webbed feet are the same; some are more developed than others, depending on how much time the animal spends in the water. Compare this to human hands โ we don't have webbing, so we're not great natural swimmers. This adaptation allows animals to thrive in aquatic environments.
