Xenosauridae is a family of lizards containing only one living genus, *Xenosaurus*. These lizards are characterized by their flattened bodies and rough, tuberculate scales. They are found in Mexico and Guatemala, inhabiting rocky habitats. Xenosaurids are carnivorous, feeding on insects and other invertebrates. They are relatively rare and secretive lizards.
