Definition
Yellow colicroot, scientifically known as *Aletris aurea*, is a medicinal herb. It is related to the more common *Aletris farinosa* (white colicroot). It's distinguished by its yellow flowers. Unlike its white-flowered cousin, its yellow blooms stand out. It was also traditionally used for its medicinal properties. Think of it as the sunnier, but less well-known, version of colicroot. It has herbal medicinal usages.
